As the name of the song implies, the song sings about how one can always rely on someone through even the roughest of times, thus, finding a friend in that someone. At first, it initially seems to be about Andy being that friend to Woody. However, as the film progresses, it becomes clear that Buzz is that friend instead. It is first heard as a solo in the opening credits of the first film as Andy plays with Woody and takes him downstairs. The solo and the duet version are listed as Tracks 1 and 16, respectively on the Toy Story Soundtrack. In the second film, a scene from Woody's Roundup features a Woody marionette on the show singing this song on a guitar, and then a kid on the set hugs him. It is also sung by Wheezy Robert Goulet at the end of the film, and this version can be heard in its entirety during the end credits and listed as Track 3 on the Toy Story 2 Soundtrack.

The song is played during the opening credits for Toy Story, Toy Story 3 , and Toy Story 4 , establishing the importance of Woody and Andy in the first film and the importance of all his toys in the third and fourth. Toy Story 3 also uses it for irony and dramatic effect, as the opening credits harken back to the first film and the song abruptly fades out with "As the years go by, Our friendship will never die", before showing that Andy's remaining toys in the present day are boxed up and unused. When they were unused, Andy was 17 years old. In Toy Story 4, the song is heard during the opening montage, that features Andy playing with Woody, giving him to Bonnie as a teenager, and Bonnie playing with him, but soon starting to neglect him. In two sequels, the song is listened to by the characters as part of the story, as cover versions done at the end of the film for thematic reasons: at the end of Toy Story 2 , the character Wheezy starts to sing it to the other toys; during the end credits of Toy Story 3 , Buzz Lightyear and Jessie now a couple perform a pasodoble to a Spanish version of the song, deliberately played by Jessie to get Buzz to dance. The most significant use of the song was in the third act of Toy Story 2 , where an episode of Woody's Roundup the s puppet show he was based on shows the puppet Woody singing the song, directed at the young audience and featuring a small child hugging the puppet.
You've Got a Friend in Me
I am emotionally mentally and heartily attached to him. We learn sooooooo much from each other. Let me say this so you can get an idea of just how crazy and how much your girl friend is into the Mormon religion: These are known as "garments". I simply do NOT believe he and I will not be together after we die. Whereas white and black may both sleep in on Sunday and tie their left shoes first, Mos have a set of behavioral norms that are in serious conflict with Nomo lifestyles. I know a lot of Mormons who were also not raised on fear and guilt and strict gender rolesвbut I was, as were many of my peers. My boyfriend and i have been togther for 2 years and he has finishd his masters in buisness and is residing in Asia in his job. Marriage is hard, period. It was a huge shock to me and caused a lot of worry on my part.
If you are willing to understand and accept these, whether or not you are a Mormon, you can have a fun time dating Mormon girls. As a married female resident, I wanted to offer you the other side of this Your husbands love you, and miss you. Make an honest effort, and see if you reach the walk-away point. Oh your fiance works in the medicine field, too. You will join the church. We're giving it to you straight because we hope to help you avoid the heartache many of us have experience due to the harmful teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I don't know why the system allows this type of treatment Not only do the residents feel like they "should" be giving every single bit of their energy, intellect, passion, soul to their residency programs, but they are told by their program directors, attendings and everyone else around them that they "must". II do wish you luck. Ive realized for the most part they are just too proudful and do not treat women very get.
